Fixed Star Talismans

A personal introduction from a fellow enthusiast

I recently realized that I am so immersed in the Stars - I read about them, contemplate them, create with them - that I sometimes forget they are still considered a niche within astrology.

For many people, astrology begins and ends with the zodiac signs and planets. But beyond the familiar wheel of the horoscope, there are the fixed stars: luminous, ancient presences that have inspired myth, navigation, magic, and devotion across civilizations.

I am still very much a student in this field. What I share here is not instruction from a pedestal, but reflections from someone deeply curious and in love with this work.

A Few Words About Fixed Stars

In astrology, fixed stars are the bright stars that appear “fixed” in the sky, in contrast to the wandering planets. Many of them carry rich mythological and symbolic meanings, shaped by centuries of observation and storytelling.

Unlike planetary astrology - which is dynamic and constantly shifting - fixed stars feel steady, archetypal, and enduring. Their symbolism often speaks in bold, concentrated qualities.

For me, working with fixed stars feels like entering into a relationship with a specific current of meaning.

How I Approach Choosing a Fixed Star Talisman

One of the most common questions is:

“Should I look for a fixed star that aspects something in my natal chart?”

For example, should the star be in conjunction or paran with one of your natal planets?

After creating talismans full-time for years, I’ve come to feel that the nature of the star itself is the most important consideration.

A fixed star does not need to appear in conjunction or paran with a planet in your natal chart for you to develop a meaningful relationship with it.

Instead, I ask a different question:

Does this star embody qualities I genuinely want to cultivate within myself?

  • Courage
  • Clarity
  • Devotion
  • Protection
  • Creative brilliance
  • Steadfastness

If the symbolism of a star resonates deeply - if it feels like a frequency you wish to tune yourself toward - that connection can be enough.

Relationship Over Technicality

Astrological techniques are powerful and valuable. And yes, chart connections can add nuance and depth.

But in my lived experience, talismanic work is relational.

It is about intention.
It is about reverence.
It is about aligning yourself with a specific archetypal current.

Sometimes the most meaningful talismans arise not from technical perfection, but from sincere resonance.

As I continue exploring the world of fixed stars, I share this as an open invitation - not as doctrine.

The stars are vast.
We are always learning.
And perhaps that is part of their magic.

A New Chapter: Our First Fixed Star Talismans

In January, we quietly began working with two fixed stars.

This is still an exploration for us - a period of research, observation, and careful attunement. Fixed star work carries depth and intensity, and we want to approach it with the same reverence and intentionality that guides all of our creations.

We are studying their symbolism.
Sitting with their qualities.
Exploring how their influence expresses itself in lived experience.

Only when we feel that the relationship is clear and aligned will we introduce these talismans to you.

If this world of fixed stars speaks to you, stay tuned - we look forward to sharing this next chapter with you.

They will be ready soon.
